Predicting the Heat Release Rate of the Storage Tank Pool Fires Using the Liquid Vaporization Model

This study is a preliminary research to specify fire scenarios in storage tanks and evaluate the size based on type of fuel diameter tank by applying liquid evaporation model FDS . version 6.7.6 was used analysis, computational domains were established pool with same proportion. The results obtained from indicated that heat feedback surface relatively well matched previous empirical correlations experimental results. showed relative error within 15% compared correlation excellent linearity respect analyzed fuel. present contributes expanding applicability models safety analysis large facilities. Additionally, comparison required assess reliability release rate estimation.
